Naming and Identity _ Yesterday's leftovers, tomorrow's soup: »Soupport« is a project that involves the preparation of soup from foods nearing their use-by date. The idea behind this concept is to reduce the amount of food being thrown away on the one hand, while making low-cost soup available to people in need on the other. 

This concept is feasible because a large proportion of discarded food is not actually waste, but surplus food. The objective is therefore to make use of food that would otherwise go to landfill although it is just as good as regularly used food.
